RR Watch: Paul Thomas Anderson's There Will Be Blood
Synopsis: Set in the booming West coast oil fields at the turn of the 20th century, a tale that follows the rise of rugged prospector Daniel Plainview who becomes an independent oilman after hitting it rich with the strike of a lifetime. He realizes the American dream, and is destroyed by it.
There Will Be Blood is written and directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, and it's based on Upton Sinclair's novel, Oil. The casts include Daniel Day-Lewis, Paul Dano, Mary Elizabeth Barrett, and Paul F Tompkins.
Vanity Fair recruits Jon Heder as a guinea pig, to test drive a motorized Ice Cream Cone and other lazy-ass nation gadgets (i.e. motor-powered self-twirling spaghetti fork & spinmallow-automatic marshmallow rotator). RR Watch: Noah Baumbach's Margot At the Wedding
Synposis: A mother and her son visit her sister over the weekend, in a story about coming to terms with one's family and one's self in distress.
Margot at the Wedding is written and directed by Noah Baumbach, and stars Zane Pais, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Nicole Kidman, Jack Black and John Turturro.
RR Watch: His Dark Materials 1: The Golden Compass, Northern Lights
Synopsis: Lyra Belacqua is an orphan who lives happily in Jordan College, Oxford, playing with local boys and terrorizing the professors. However, when Lyra overhears scholars discussing a plot against her uncle, Lord Asriel, centering around a mysterious substance called Dust, her curiosity is roused. Soon Lyra is in over her head as she uncovers a frightening plot and a whole new world of possibilities.
The Golden Compass is written by Tom Stoppard, based on Philip Pullman's novel, directed by Chris Weitz, and stars Dakota Blue Richards, Nicole Kidman, Eva Green, Daniel Craig and Nonso Anozie.
RR Watch: Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight
The studio haven't release the synposis, but the cast includes Christian Bale, Heath Ledger as The Joker, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two Face and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
RR Watch: Bill Gates & Melinda Gates
Time magazine's Amanda Bower wrote an article on Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates, 50, and his wife Melinda, 41, and their foundation priorities on global health, public education, public libraries and at-risk families.
The financial magazine Forbes published a list of the highest earning television personalities, and Ms. Oprah Winfrey leads the way by earning a well-deserved $260 million during the fiscal year of June 2006 to June 2007. Forbes' financial rankings are usually based on estimates.
Today on Ms. Winfrey's televsion program, she interviews guests who are 'Born in the Wrong Body' and living in the world as a transgender. And read Condoleezza Rice's article on Ms. Winfrey in Time magazine.

RR Watch: Filmmaker Joe Wright's Atonement
Synopsis: The film spans several decades about a fledgling writer, Briony Tallis, who, as a 13-year-old, irrevocably changes the course of several lives when she accuses her older sister's lover of a crime he did not commit.
Atonement is written by Christopher Hampton, based on Ian McEwan's novel, directed by Joe Wright (Pride & Prejudice), and stars James McAvoy, Keira Knightley, Saoirse Ronan, Brenda Blethyn, Vanessa Redgrave and Romola Garai.

Synopsis: A love story set against the backdrop of the 1960s amid the turbulent years of anti-war protest, mind exploration and rock 'n roll, moving from the dockyards of Liverpool to the creative psychedelia of Greenwich Village, from the riot-torn streets of Detroit to the killing fields of Vietnam. The star-crossed lovers, Jude (Jim Sturgess) and Lucy (Evan Rachel Wood), along with a small group of friends and musicians, are swept up into the emerging anti-war and counterculture movements, with "Dr. Robert" and "Mr. Kite" as their guides. Tumultuous forces outside their control ultimately tear the young lovers apart, forcing Jude and Lucy--against all odds--to find their own way back to each other.

RR Watch: Control
Control is based on the biography "Touching From a Distance" written by Deborah Curtis, and it's Anton Corbijn's feature directorial debut.
Synopsis: Ian Curtis has aspirations beyond the trappings of small town life in 1970's England. Wanting to emulate his musical heroes, such as David Bowie and Iggy Pop, he joins a band, and his musical ambition begins to thrive. Soon though, the everyday fears and emotions that fuel his music slowly begin to eat away at him. Married young, with a daughter, he is distracted from his family commitments by a new love and the growing expectations of his band, Joy Division. The strain manifests itself in his health. With epilepsy adding to his guilt and depression, desperation takes hold. Surrendering to the weight on his shoulders, Ian's tortured soul consumes him.
Sex & The City originated as an HBO's television program and now it's in production, for the big screen as a feature film for 2008 release. They are shooting on location in New York.

The Jonas Brothers will star in a new comedy/spy series called J.O.N.A.S. for the Disney Channel. The series will begin production in 2008. The brothers also star in Camp Rock, a Disney channel's original movie production in Toronto, and a concert special, Jonas Brothers In Concert.

RR Watch: Christophe Honore's Dans Paris (Inside Paris)
Synopsis: Paul, depressed from his recent break-up with Anna, returns home to Paris and moves back in with his divorced father and amorous younger brother, Jonathan. While his carefree sibling and doting father try in vain to cheer him up, a visit from his mother seems to be the only thing that brings him joy. When Paul is then left in the house to brood and talk to one of his brother’s girlfriends, he begins to realize that while things haven’t gone according to plan, one can always find something to live for.

RR Watch: Filmmaker David Slade's 30 Days Of Night
30 Days of Night is director David Slade's new film, and he previously directed 2005's Hard Candy.
Synopsis: In Barrow, Alaska, the northernmost town in the U.S, the winter sun sets and does not rise for 30 days and nights. From the darkness comes an evil force that strikes terror on the town, and all hope is pinned on a husband-and-wife cop team.
30 Days of Night's casts include Josh Hartnett, Melissa George, Danny Huston, Jon Bennett and Mark Boone Junior.
