Spike Lee's Miracle at St. Anna @ Cannes Film Festival

Director Spike Lee discusses and promotes Miracle at St. Anna - an upcoming film about black soliders during WWII - at Cannes Film Festival.

Miracle at St. Anna opens in theaters nationwide on Friday, October 10th of 2008.




Synopsis: Four black American soldiers are members of the US Army as part of the all-black 92nd Buffalo Soldier Division stationed in Tuscany, Italy during World War II. They experience the tragedy and triumph of the war as they find themselves trapped behind enemy lines and separated from their unit after one of them risks his life to save an Italian boy.

Miracle at St. Anna was shot on location in Tuscany, Italy and it's based on James McBride's "Miracle at St. Anna" book and published by Riverhead Hardcover in January, 2002.
