Angelina Jolie Humps Vanity Fair

New mom-to-be and actress Angelina Jolie opens up to Vanity Fair, and graces the cover and pages of the July issue. And here are excerpts:

On being pregnant: I love it. It makes me feel like a woman. It makes me feel that all the things about my body are suddenly there for a reason. It makes you feel round and supple, and to have a little life inside you is amazing. Also, I'm fortunate. I think some women have a different experience depend-ing on their partner. I think that affects it. I happen to be with somebody who finds pregnancy very sexy. So that makes me feel very sexy.

On her international family: When I was growing up I wanted to adopt, because I was aware there were kids that didn’t have parents. It's not a humanitarian thing, because I don’t see it as a sacrifice. It's a gift. We're all lucky to have each other. I look at Shiloh—because, obviously, physically, she is the one that looks like Brad and I when we were little—and say, 'If these were our brothers and sisters, how much would we have known by the time we were six that it took into our 30s and 40s to figure out?’ I suppose I’m giving them the childhood I always wished I had.

On Shiloh's birth: We were in this little hospital in Africa when Shi was born. I don't think there was anybody else in the hospital. It was just a little cottage, the three of us. It ended up being the greatest thing…. I had a C-section and I found it fascinating. I didn’t find it a sacrifice and I didn’t find it a painful experience. I found it a fascinating miracle of what a body can do.

On nannies: We don't ever have anybody spend the night. We may have to adjust that when the next one comes. But we do have ladies that work with us, and they're also from different cultures and back-grounds. One lady's a Vietnamese teacher—wonderful. One is of Congolese descent from Bel-gium. Another is from the States and is really creative and does art programs.

On artists as parents: Artists raise their kids differently, she said. We communicate to the point where we probably annoy our children. We have art around the house, we have books, we go to plays, we talk. Our focus is art and painting and dress-up and singing. It's what we love. So I think you can see how artists in some way raise other artists.

Tell me about your self-titled album, which comes out in September. What are the key songs: Spotlight is a pop feel, kind of clubbish. It's a hot track. Then we have Pocketbook, which is sassy. It reminds you of Louise, because she's loving purses. Happy Place is one of my favorites. People who know me will know what songs I had a whole lot to do with, because they're sassy.

Did you feel like the new kid on the block on the set: It's a family that already lived together, and they added me. They're fierce, and I get to be fierce and fabulous with them.

Batman Christian Bale Humps Details

Christian Bales begins his Batman - Dark Knight promotion and he graces the cover and pages of Details to sell his new film.

Steve Klein

On working with his Dark Knight co-star - Oscar-nominee Heath Ledger: He was incredibly intense in his performance but incredibly mellow and laid-back. Certainly there was this great anarchistic streak to it — just getting dirtier than anybody's envisioned the Joker before. … Naturally, (the movie) was something I wanted to share with him — and expected to do so. And I can't do anything else but hope that it will be an absolutely appropriate celebration of his work.

When was the last time you were mistaken for someone else: Yesterday afternoon I was sitting somewhere and somebody started chatting. They said they were an agent, and they asked what I do, and I said, "I'm an actor." And they said, "Oh, how's that going for you?" I said, "I think it's all right." And they said, do I have an agent?
"Yes, I have an agent."
"Well, if you ever need any help getting work, give me a call."
So I said, "Thanks very much." I think the best one ever was when a casting director saw me in a hotel lobby and practically ran at me, holding a script: "Thank god I've finally found you! We have this movie that you're perfect for, and this is an amazing coincidence. The director and producer are not going to believe it, that I just bumped into you! We've been talking about how perfect you are for this role for so long! Finally, I met Christian Slater."
"Christian Bale."
"Excuse me?"
"I said, 'Christian Bale.'"
And she went, "Oh, I'm sorry," took the script, and walked away.

Usher Humps Entertainment Weekly

Usher is the cover boy and one of the feature musician in Entertainment Weekly summer music preview issue.

On Usher's son, Usher Raymond V., being a new addition to his family and healing his strained relationship with his mom: I have a beautiful baby boy that she's in love with, he says. She's very happy, and he makes us all a better family, period.

On replacing his mother / manager with Benny Medina (manages Mariah Carey and Nicole Richie): I understand the whole thing about the drama between me and my mother, he concedes. To be honest with you, we had a very one-sided relationship, and for obvious reasons: She had to make the majority of the sacrifices; otherwise we didn't go forward.... I'm pretty sure that my mother would want to forever manage me. She'll always be my partner. But I feel like I'm at a point where I wanna grow, be able to handle my business firsthand, and understand every facet of it. Also, on the other side is the fact that you get the stigma of being too sheltered. So now I make the move to go out as a man and stand on my own, and it's bad?

On the sudden death of Usher's father, who died of liver disease on January 21th of 2008: That made me care more about being a father than anything, he says. It's my opportunity to make sure that [my son] never feels what I felt.
