Remembering Natasha Richardson: 1963 - 2009

Family, friends and peers remember the late Natasha Richardson, the actress died of Epidural Hematoma due to blunt impact to the head [bleeding in the brain] after hitting her head from a skiing lesson on the bunny slope. She was taking skiing lessons at Canada's Mont Tremblant resort, fell and hit her head and was later flown from Montreal's Hôpital du Sacré-Coeur to Manhattan's Lenox Hill Hospital, where her family decided to take her off life-support. My prayers and condolences go out to Ms. Richardson's family and friends.

Tiziana Fabi / Associated Foreign Press

Alan Nierob released a statement on the behalf of Ms. Richardson's family: Liam Neeson, his sons, and the entire family are shocked and devastated by the tragic death of their beloved Natasha. They are profoundly grateful for the support, love and prayers of everyone, and ask for privacy during this very difficult time.

Lindsay Lohan co-starred w/ Richardson in The Parent Trap: She was a wonderful woman and actress and treated me like I was her own. I didn't see much of her over the years but I will miss her. My heart goes out to her family. This is a tragic loss.

Jane Fonda meeting Richardson Julia set w/ Vanessa Redgrave: She was a little girl but already beautiful and graceful. It didn't surprise me that she became such a talented actor," Fonda recalled on her blog. "It is hard to even imagine what it must be like for her family. My heart is heavy."

Judi Dench: It's always difficult if you have parents in theater, it puts a very strange pressure on the children. I have no doubt [great work was to come]. It's been so shocking, really shocking – I hope everyone leaves the family alone to pick up the pieces.

Blythe Danner: I can't talk because I started crying. I'm heart broken. She was so kind to us when Bruce was ill. She's so generous. I don't think that I can handle it.

Mia Farrow: Natasha is irreplaceable. I cannot think of anyone kinder, more generous, thoughtful, smarter or more fun.

Jodie Foster co-starred w/ Natasha and Liam in Nell. Foster to ET: Natasha was brilliant, beautiful, funny, talented beyond measure, as emotionally raw as she was razor sharp. Tasha loved fiercely and that love continues in all of us who knew her. May Liam [Neeson], her beautiful boys and her loving family hold her close as they move through this tragic moment.

Helen Mirren: Natasha was a great actress, a fantastic mother, a loving wife and a whirlwind of energy, with an infectious love of life expressed firstly by her wonderful deep laugh. Anyone who knew her will be in mourning today. I hope that Liam and her sons are helped in their pain by the great love and sympathy that is coming to them from people all over the world.

Ed Westwick on roommate/co-star Chace Crawford: I made out with a girl in public. Maybe I need to have sex in public with a woman. That one's still on the list. Still haven't ticked that one off. Well, I have, but they haven't seen me. Not George Michael public. It's funny because I love this f***ing dude dearly. I would die for this f***ing dude. He's my brother. The New York Yankees 3rd baseman graces the cover and pages of April issue of Details, shot kissing himself at a mirror, crunching against a maitress and faux weeping. The interview titled Confessions of a Damned Yankee, arrives on newsstands Tuesday, March 24. And here are some excerpts:

On the public keeping a track record: We live in a world right now where everyone's keeping score. And it doesn't stop when the games end…They've crossed over. And you have the Internet stuff, and all these phones…It's very intense.

On living in NYC: New York is one of a kind. It's made me ask all the tough questions. It's brought out the best in me. There are some things I have to work on. And that part is fun. Revealing the truth about yourself is always good.

On Madonna: Well, we're friends…I have a lot of respect for her…She's very smart and she's passionate about everything she does…if there ever was any situation, she's a great ear to have, you know?
