Charlie Kaufman's Synecdoche, New York @ Cannes Film Festival

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind writer Charlie Kaufman makes his directorial debut with Synecdoche, New York and screens it at 61st edition of Cannes Film Festival.

Synopsis: A tale of a theater director who thinks he's dying, and how that shapes his interactions with the world, his art and the women in his life. He ambitiously attempts to put on a play by creating a life-size replica of New York inside a warehouse.




Philip Seymour Hoffman stars as Caden, the theater director who thinks he's dying.

Synecdoche, New York is written by Charlie Kaufman, and he's repped by David Kramer and Richard Klubeck at United Talent Agency (UTA).
